Like most tables, this great looking piece features both a backgammon board and a chess board. The table is 27″ tall making it a suitable height to sit at comfortably. It features a removable game board and comes in a finish making it a great, cost effective addition to the household furniture.
The Deluxe Chess and Backgammon table is equipped with a drawer to hold the game pieces. The table comes with a set of chess pieces however unfortunately does not come with backgammon/checker pieces. The King Height supplied with the table is 3.75″. The square sizes are 1 3/4 by 1 3/4 inches.
It is worth noting that more than one customer review on Amazon state that the color is not black, but a dark cherry color. In addition, there have been quite a few reviews stating that the table has come shipped with a crack in the main base. We suggest checking the base for cracks or splits as soon as you unpack it.
This table has lots of great reviews on Amazon and one reviewer commented on how “ridiculously simple” it was to put together. Someone else commented how the size of this table creates an “intimacy for playing” – that’s great, you can’t beat an intense game of backgammon.
